Mr. Schwanwede earned his undergraduate degree from Fordham University in New York City and his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law at Newark.
Professional Experience
Mr. Schwanwede worked for the Bergen County and Camden County Prosecutor’s Offices for a total of 32 years. Throughout the 30 years spent at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, he served at various times as Chief of the Special Investigations Section, Chief of the Sex Crimes Section, Chief of the Bergen County Narcotics Task Force, Chief of Trial and as First Assistant Prosecutor for five years. He has tried virtually every type of case covered by the code of Criminal Justice, including narcotics conspiracies, adult and child sex offenses, white collar fraud, kidnaping, arson and murder.
