Michael Sperry joined Helmer, Conley & Kasselman, P.A. after serving over 26 rewarding years as a County Prosecutor’s Detective. His Law Enforcement career included diverse investigative responsibilities including Crimes Against Children, Sexual Assault, Homicide, Attempted Homicide, Death Investigations, Robbery, Police Involved Shootings, as well as Serious Motor vehicle crash investigations. When he retired as Captain of Detectives, he was responsible for the day to operations of the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Division. In that capacity, he was responsible for all units. Most notably: the Major Crimes Unit, the Special Victim Unit, the Crime Scene Unit, the High-Tech Crimes Unit, the Special Investigations Unit, the Megan’s Law Unit, the Gangs, Guns Narcotic Task Force, the Evidence Management Unit, the Homeland Security Unit, the Intelligence Unit and the Bias Crimes Unit.
He was an instructor at the Burlington County Emergency Services Training Center where he’s provided training on Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Investigations, Death Scene Investigations, Missing Persons Investigations and Child Abduction Response Team (CART) investigations. He was CART Coordinator for Burlington County.
Michael also had the honor and privilege to serve as a member of the New Jersey State Child Fatality Near Fatality Review Board- Southern Region Team as well as a member of the New Jersey State Child Fatality Near Fatality Review Board- Suicide Subcommittee.
Before commencing his Law Enforcement career, he graduated with Honors from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice.
Outside of work, Michael most enjoys living a healthy lifestyle spending time with his family near the water. His hobbies include a passion for automobiles and pursuing fitness goals.
