The British government plans to introduce a divorce app to help couples through the painful process of divorce. In the United States, couples undergoing a divorce can download apps on their iPhones to understand and manage divorce processes. These apps include child support calculators that are based on individual state guidelines.
The United Kingdom plans to launch a divorce app that can be used by all divorcing couples to deal sensibly with thorny issues. The app will contain practical, commonsense guidance on issues that affect divorce as well as practical information about organizing child support payments.
The app is being sponsored by the Department of Work and Pensions in the U.K., and is part of a 14 million-pound scheme that has been developed to support couples through the process of divorce. The app can be easily downloaded onto computers and mobile phones. The remainder of the $14 million-pound initiative will be used to establish interventions, counseling, support services, mediation, online telephone advice and other services.
No App Can Take the Place of a New Jersey Divorce Lawyer
The purpose of the app is to encourage couples to solve their own disputes and financial hassles during a divorce and avoid involving the Child Support Agency.
However, while an app might be useful in helping couples through the painful separation process, no app can replace a qualified and experienced New Jersey divorce attorney. Calculation of child-support goes beyond punching numbers into your phone. Your lawyer can help guide you through the divorce process, provide emotional support, draft the necessary documents and negotiate on your behalf.
The New Jersey divorce lawyers at Helmer Paul Conley and Kasselman represent persons in divorce, child support, child custody, and other family law-related matters across New Jersey.
