Criminal Law

1. The police did not read me my Miranda rights. Is that important?
It is important if you were in custody and answered questions that could hurt your case. If the judge decides that your rights were violated, then your answers (what you said to the police) cannot be used against you.

2. How long does a case take?
Usually a few months.  Each New Jersey county has thousands of cases and one to six judges. The amount of paperwork required for each case makes it almost impossible to move faster.

3. How much will it cost to defend me?
It depends on the seriousness and complexity of the case. We offer payment plan options to our clients.

4. Do I have to pay a fee for an initial consultation?
Unlike other firms, we do not charge for initial consultations in any criminal cases.
